I open the bag, and sure enough, I’m greeted by the heady, sweet bouquet of a caramel macchiato, with the toasted scent of coffee making its presence known. BREW coffee (on largest cup setting) or POUR coffee into large mug. (*I learned from the company history on the back of the box that it is now simply called Dunkin’. So we’ll start with the Caramel Macchiato, not for any particular reason beyond it being the first one I grabbed out of my kitchen cabinet, and see just what’s in store. Post Dunkin Caramel Macchiato cereal is brought to life with crunchy cereal pieces and caramel swirled marshmallows, creating the deliciously indulgent. (America may run on Dunkin’, but I don’t.) But it wasn’t until I could get their two flavors-Caramel Macchiato and Mocha Latté-at a very good price, thanks to my local HyVee, that I seriously considered reviewing them. The Caramel Macchiato flavor features crunchy spiced cereal pieces with caramel-swirled marshmallows that mimic the layers of the indulgent iced coffee drink, while the Mocha Latte flavor has. When I learned that Dunkin’ Donuts* was trying their hand at cereal, I was naturally intrigued, even if I’ve never made much time for their pastries or coffee.
